GSX 2026 Welcomes More Than 16K Registrants from 100 Countries
ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The 2026 edition of the Global Security Exchange (GSX) attracted more than 16,500 registrants from 100 countries—a 17 percent increase over the 2025 show—and featured more than 530 exhibitors from 20 countries, according to an ASIS International announcement.
“GSX 2026 demonstrated what is possible when the global security profession comes together with a shared sense of purpose and transformation,” says 2026 ASIS International president Eddie Sorrells in the association announcement.
“The challenges facing our organizations and communities are no longer isolated by geography, sector or discipline. They require security leaders who can think across borders, connect intelligence with action and build trusted networks before a crisis occurs,” he says.
“GSX helped advance that work by expanding knowledge, showcasing industry innovation and strengthening the relationships that will undoubtedly shape the future of security for years to come,” says Sorrells in the ASIS announcement.
What Did GSX 2026 Attendees See in Atlanta?
From the show floor to the classroom to the keynote stage, GSX 2026 “reflected the complexity and urgency of today’s security landscape,” the announcement says, from “the expanding impact of artificial intelligence” to “the practical application of enterprise security risk management (ESRM)” to “the evolution of physical security technology and the leadership skills required to help organizations anticipate, adapt and respond amid uncertainty.”
GSX 2026 introduced three interactive workshops: Learning as a Strategic Advantage: Successfully Training Your Organization’s Security Teams and Executives; Hands-On LLM Security Lab: Building Threat Intelligence and Malware Analysis Workflows; and From Surveys to Strategy: Accelerating Risk and Resilience Through Value Stream Mapping.
The first day of GSX opened with commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America, detailing how our understanding of security and preparedness forever changed.
According to ASIS International CEO Bill Tenney, “Beyond the policies, technologies and operating models that followed, Sept. 11 did something deeply human. It brought this profession closer together.”
The ASIS Foundation’s Hotlanta Hustle 5K kicked off the second day and brought the GSX community together in support of security education, research and opportunity. The event raised more than $10,000 for the ASIS Foundation.
The final day honored service and sacrifice through Military and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (MLEAD), offering active-duty and retired law enforcement, military personnel and first responders a free one-day pass to attend the show.
The day began with the MLEAD Breakfast, bringing together representatives from the Atlanta Police Department and Robins Air Force Base in recognition of the men and women who help keep communities safe.
Across the week, keynote and education programming “reinforced a common theme: resilient security programs depend on resilient leaders,” according to the ASIS International announcement.
Beyond the convention center, GSX 2026 delivered “a significant economic impact” for the greater Atlanta area, generating more than $30 million through attendee and exhibitor activity across hotels, restaurants, transportation, local businesses and event services.
GSX 2027 is scheduled for Sept. 20-22 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
