In the past, "night vision" simply meant grainy black and white footage. Today, modern sensors allow us to capture full-color evidence even in near-total darkness. 1. Traditional Infrared (Black & White) Traditional IR cameras use infrared LEDs to illuminate a scene. The camera switches to a monochrome mode and removes the IR-cut filter to "see" the light reflected off objects. Zero-Light Performance: The only viable option for absolute 0 Lux environments like windowless basements or remote rural outbuildings with no street lighting.
