2025 Security Industry Predictions: Experts Share Their Thoughts on What’s Ahead

We asked more than two dozen security industry heavyweights to participate in our 2025 Security Industry Predictions series, giving them questions about the latest technology, the best and worst of the sector and something that might catch their counterparts off-guard.

Our insiders definitely weren’t shy about sharing their thoughts on the future of the security industry. We don’t know how many — if any — of their prognostications will come true but it’ll be interesting to follow along with their 2025 expectations and see where the industry actually goes over the next year.

This year’s Security Industry Predictions include executives from industry associations, our longtime columnists and some of the newest members of the SSI Industry Hall of Fame.
