Security 101 Expands Northeast Presence with Dorrian Properties

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — National commercial security solutions provider Security 101, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital, today announces the acquisition of longtime partner Dorrian Properties LLC, with operations in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

The transaction marks Security 101’s 18th strategic acquisition, “further expanding its footprint in two key Northeast markets,” according to the joint announcement.

Founded in 2016 by industry veterans Michael and Emily Dorrian, Dorrian Properties “has built a reputation for delivering seamless, enterprise-level security ecosystems,” the announcement says. The company “specializes in consolidating fragmented solutions and providing advanced integration services, serving as a trusted partner to higher education institutions and other complex verticals across Pennsylvania.”

Why Did Security 101 Acquire Dorrian Properties?

“Dorrian Properties has been an exceptional operator within the Security 101 network for nearly a decade,” says Greg Daly, CEO of Security 101, in the joint announcement. “Their unwavering focus on customer success, combined with deep expertise in higher education, makes this a natural and exciting addition to our corporate platform.

“By aligning their local strengths with our national resources, we see significant opportunities to accelerate growth in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia,” he says.

As part of the transition, Michael Dorrian will serve as general manager, overseeing Security 101’s operations in both markets, according to the joint announcement.

“We are proud of what we’ve built in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and are thrilled to embark on this next chapter with Security 101,” says Dorrian in the announcement. “The trust our customers place in us has always been rooted in consistent results. With Security 101’s platform and resources behind us, we are confident in our ability to deliver the same reliability while scaling to meet growing demand.”

The acquisition “underscores Security 101’s strategy of expanding through both franchise conversions and independent integrator partnerships,” according to the joint announcement.

“As the company’s footprint expands across the United States, strategic transactions such as Dorrian Properties enable Security 101 to better support enterprise clients with growing regional footprints, multi-site operations, and heightened security requirements, all under a unified national brand,” the announcement says.
