ASSA ABLOY Brand ALCEA to Show Infrastructure Security Solutions at GSX 2025

PLANO, Texas—ALCEA says that at a time when physical attacks to critical infrastructure assets are increasing in frequency and intensity, it has the solutions to combat these threats. As a critical infrastructure security brand within ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, ALCEA will offer a variety of hardware and software products in booth 1155 when the Global Security Exchange (GSX) is held September 29 to October 1 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

On display during the show will be ALCEA’s complete ecosystem of hardware and software, including ABLOY PROTEC2 CLIQ intelligent keys, the ABLOY BEAT mobile access platform, the GATEWAY real-time monitoring system, and the ALWIN access management platform. Together, the company asserts, these solutions provide protection, accountability, and flexibility for operators managing high-stakes infrastructure environments.

“Threats to critical infrastructure aren’t going away, they’re escalating,” says Mark Pekovitch, product manager for ALCEA North America. “Operators need security systems that are not just strong but smart. They must be resilient against forced entry and the forces of nature, trackable for compliance, and flexible enough to evolve with tomorrow’s risks. That’s exactly what we’re delivering with PROTEC2 CLIQ, BEAT, GATEWAY, and ALWIN.”

ALCEA Products Leverage Decades of Engineering Experience

A 20-year industry veteran, Pekovitch joined ALCEA in 2023 and has spent the majority of his career working with customers to solve and strengthen their access solutions. He also has expertise in designing continuous improvement programs to help customers increase their efficiencies.

“The good news is we keep developing and adding vital new additions to our portfolio. ALCEA now has a total solutions package for critical infrastructure environments that includes a mix of proven, reliable, and trusted products with new technologies to help deter and prevent physical and cybersecurity attacks,” notes Pekovitch.

The ASSA ABLOY brand boasts the ABLOY PROTEC2 CLIQ and ABLOY BEAT are the result of 50 years of experience in the development of best-in-class engineering and design. Providing greater efficiency to manage critical infrastructure security and reducing or eliminating the needs for keys, the electromechanical ABLOY PROTEC2 CLIQ solution is designed to make any system more secure, accountable and adaptable.

“One of the best things about ABLOY PROTEC2 CLIQ, and with ABLOY BEAT as well, is their simplicity,” comments Pekovitch. “CLIQ gives you control by giving permission for access which you can track and easily produce audit trail reports. With ABLOY BEAT, all you need is your phone to easily manage access control.”

ALCEA points out the ABLOY BEAT keyless lock portfolio provides high level security with the use of a novel key, a mobile app, and an IP68-rated weatherproof Bluetooth padlock. BEAT, the company continues, provides operators with rugged, weatherproof security that performs in harsh environments.

The company explains when ABLOY BEAT is integrated with ALCEA GATEWAY, it allows for real-time monitoring and flexible integration while acting as a safe bridge between physical security devices and systems that monitor and control them. Introduced in late 2024, GATEWAY strengthens the physical security of global critical infrastructure with cutting-edge advanced features and remote opening capabilities.

“With a secure, integrated, and future-proof total solution, you can expect GATEWAY to deliver robust performance, real-time responsiveness, and seamless compatibility with any system,” adds Pekovitch. “It also provides flexible compatibility with ALCEA’s proprietary management systems or with ALWIN CIPE access management software.”
