ASIS Foundation Hosting First 5K During GSX 2025 in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS — The ASIS Foundation is adding a new way to raise money during one of the security industry’s biggest annual events with the first ASIS Foundation 5K, scheduled for Sept. 30 at 7 a.m. starting at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, smack-dab in the middle of the Global Security Exchange (GSX 2025).

Every step you take in the 5K “supports a stronger, smarter and safer security industry,” according to the foundation announcement. Whether you walk, jog, or race to the finish line, your participation will help fuel our mission.”

Funds raised from the first ASIS Foundation 5K will go directly toward:

  • Critical research to enhance knowledge and decision-making
  • Hardship grants to support professionals during times of need
  • Certification support to help practitioners grow and advance
  • Scholarships for the next generation of security leaders

“The ASIS Foundation 5K represents the intersection of personal wellness and professional purpose—demonstrating that security professionals don’t just protect others but actively invest in the health and resilience of our own community, says Lee Oughton, ASIS Foundation fundraising and marketing sommittee member.
