Verkada Closes Series D Fundraising Round With $305M in Fresh Capital

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Cloud-based enterprise building security and managed services platform Verkada has wrapped up a Series D fundraising round with $305 million in fresh capital after a $100 million push led by Alkeon Capital, chief financial officer Kameron Rezai announced in a blog post this week.

Lightspeed Venture Partners also contributed to the $100 million segment of the funding round, Rezai says in his post on the company blog Monday (Oct. 9).

“This fresh infusion of capital will further support our ambitious expansion plans as we continue to enhance our current offering and develop new products and features with a growing global team,” he says in the post.

​​”Being approached by investors Alkeon and Lightspeed to join our Series D is further validation that our now 20,000 customers love what we’re building,” says Rezai. “Whether it’s enabling retailers like Canada Goose to reduce operational inefficiencies or schools like Durham College to establish dynamic emergency response plans, Verkada’s integrated platform is more important and needed than ever.”
